Guess

Guess what I got?

Guess what somebody gave me?

Maybe this helps!

Yes, a treadle sewing machine!

Billy's parents generously shared this lovely family heirloom with us. It looks to be in good working order. And it's beautiful.

Show and tell Friday hosted by Kelli.

What a wonderful gift! And in such great shape...we have one we purchased CHEAP from a thrift store, but the pedal is broken. I sue it as a side table in our living room. Ours has these ornate lion head drawer pulls that the kids love...

Oh my! It looks great. congratulations. I had one in Alaska in the 1970's. It worked and I sewed a lot of clothes for my little girls. We lived then in a tiny oceanside community at the time and it was a great source of pleasure to me.

That is a great machine! My mother has a straight stitcher of more recent vintage, but I know what good machines those old Singers are.
