A Day at the Beach

With some friends, we took the kids to the beach Saturday. It's nice to now live close enough to a beach that we can go for a day trip. We had a wonderful time and came back sunburned and exhausted. It was a very family-friendly spot, not the best beach in the world, but still nice and not at all crowded. Billy fished and we spotted many dolphins swimming not far from shore. Sarah was excited about wearing her "swimmy soup." A wonderful day...

There is something about the beach that feels refreshing. It always takes my breath away to look at the vastness of the ocean and nothing sounds quite the same as the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.
Glad that you had a great time and that your daughter was able to proudly wear her swimmy soup.

The beach... I miss the beach. :) Christmas time is just around the corner, may not want to get into the water, but to be near the water. Aaawwww! So glad you all had a wonderful time. How exciting to be that close to the water. :)

The beach is my favorite destination...wish I could live by the seashore. We are 2.5 hours away from the Pacific ocean and so we do go often. We will be going camping next month for a week at Bodega Dunes in our wee vintage trailer. I feel the same way as you...it takes my breath away...the vastness of the ocean. I feel so near to God as I stand in awe.
