Got Fire Ants?

If you do, you know they are a colossal pain! They're especially annoying when you have little ones who want to play outside...Not fun.

This is the best fire ant killer I know of. Best of all, it's completely non-toxic. You either sprinkle it as a powder or mix with water to create a spray. Fire ants, begone!

You can order it from Stevens Tractor: 1-800-333-9143

Oh my gosh!!! We have them something terrible right now. Monday, I came home on my break from school and whammo... on latched on to me and wouldnt let go. I have bites under my toes in between my toes, on the sides of my toes and on the tops. I already react badly to insect bites, allergy to bees, and my two toes swelled so badly you could see any seperation. I refered to them as my new pickle toe. :) THe pain, I had to miss my Monday night classes and have been on Benadryl ever since... the swelling is down, but my one toe is turning red... called the doctor and have a apt. tomorrow morning. One little fire ant and I am down... Oh my goodness I am going to have to get rid of them this weekend!!

See the ants here:

And the mounds here:

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page on that one.

They basically look like an ordinary ant, but their bite is much more vicious.

Windy, I didn't realize that fire ants had made their way to AZ! When we lived there, they hadn't discovered it yet.

Wonder how long it will take them to get this far north, or if they could survive our winters??? I hope not.
