Works for Me: Diaper Rash Solution

Wow, I just checked Shannon's Works for Me Wednesdays, and before 7AM there are already 40 people participating. Did I say WOW?!

When my oldest was a baby she had fair, sensitive skin and frequently had severe diaper rash. Sometimes, no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to heal. She would scream in pain. I mentioned it to a friend at church, and she said, "I know what you need."

"What's that?" I asked.

She looked a little uncomfortable. "You won't like the name," she said. I guess I gave off a pretty prudish vibe at the time. "It's called Boudreaux's Butt Paste."

That night she sent over a tiny sample of the stuff, and the next morning my baby's stubborn rash was virtually gone. I was sold, and I've used Boudreaux's Butt Paste ever since, always with results far superior to any other diaper rash cream or product. It's so good, the name doesn't even make me cringe. I don't know if it's available nationwide, but I do know that it's sold in many states across the South. If you can't find it where you live, order some. You won't be sorry!

I can get BBP at Target in WI. I also know it's sold in NJ as my MIL introduced us to it there.

Oh my, that made me laugh out loud. I will have absolutely no problem purchasing said product, displaying said product on my changing table, and placing an extra tube in my baby's diaper bag for the ladies in the church nursery to enjoy.

My baby boy has had terrible trouble with diaper rash, and nothing has worked all that well. So when I saw your post at Shannon's, I clicked over immediately! Thank you.

This stuff has been a Godsend for our family. They used to offer free samples on their website (don't know if they do anymore). We could get our rash cream at Target. A little goes a long way (even though it is a bit pricey!)

And you won't ever forget the name!

Oh, we've used that, too! I like it :D However with my current baby, we discovered that nothing would cure his diaper rash because it was being caused by something in the disposable diapers! So we switched to cloth and now we don't even need BBP :D Diaper rash can be frustrating, trying to get it cured sometimes! :D

Annmarie, glad to know this great product is available outside the South!

Fiddledeedee, hope it works for you too.

Amy,you're right, it's a little pricey, but worth it.

Stephen, no I won't forget the name. :)

Tammy, we had that problem too...I never had to switch to cloth, but my first could only wear Huggies. Definitely something to look into when you're dealing with a stubborn rash.

I LOVE this stuff - it works better than the creme that the doctor even prescribes.

I was on there much earlier than you, being in the UK, and already there were 14.
