Ummm...Well, from all over really. Sometimes I snag them from other blogs (rarely), free graphics sites (my fave is Grandma's Graphics under links in my sidebar), google...whatever I'm looking for... say, "retro lady ironing" or whatever...or even a particular artist like Jessie Wilcox Smith...A few are pictures I've taken with my digital camera from my own collection of books and magazines. Just here and there.
P.S. You and I must have computer time at the same time...I can't tell you how often you comment just minutes or seconds after I get my morning post up! :)
I love those pictures! I'd like to fix up a museum like, RETRO house. I'd have a radio on playing an old game show, a water cooler, old fridge, aprons, red chair......the whole 9 yards!
The opposite of consumption is production. It takes far more time and energy to create something than to consume something. It takes a novelist a year to write a book that someone can read in a few days. A cast and crew of thousands spend years to create a film that will be viewed in two hours. Often our only recreational activities are actions of consumption. What an alternative it is, then, to rediscover the wonder and delight of creativity.~Albert Hsu
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." ~Jesus in John 10:10
