The old (100 years, give or take a few) house we're renting has been well-kept, and it's full of these old glass doorknobs. On many of the doors, the original doorknobs are still in place with a conventional modern doorknob installed underneath. However, on the closets, new doorknobs have not been added. Isn't it pretty?

I would love to have doorknobs like that. I trued to buy some at an auction last year and they sold for $50.00 each!

We looked into buying some last year (antique stores) and found that they were way out of our price range. Even the new ones, that look of that era were priced too high.

Older homes have such character that is not put into newer homes. My grandparents house had some glass doorknobs.
It is. Simple things we have now will on day have that beauty we will then mess.

It is pretty! I remember an old house we lived in once having them. I was younger then and didn't realize the beauty of them. Now I wish I had some in my house!
